We have for sale a 2011 HPP T/A that will be Serial #002 in the series. HPP stands for Hiede Performance Products, which is an automotive component design, development, engineering and prototyping company located in Madison Heights MI. www.hppcars.com They design and install all of the components necessary to build this T/A right in their in house custom shop. This T/A project was close to the President of HPP's heart, Gordon Hiedacker, who's father worked as a Pontiac power train engineer during the time frame of the original Trans Am's conception. This HPP T/A takes the best styling cues from the original 1969 Trans Am and applies them to a new 2011 Camaro. Gordon's Heidackers professional engineering background spans almost two decades with Chrysler where he played a part of some of their coolest projects such as the Viper and Prowler. Now with his own company he has recreated a Chrysler icon the Super Bird, and one of GM's most iconic cars, the Trans Am, as well as some other projects yet to be revealed.
The HPP T/A that we are offering for sale is actually in the process of being built at HPP's Madison Heights MI facility, with an estimated completion in early May. We are using pictures in this listing of the first HPP T/A built. The pictured car is serial #001 and is equipped with the optional Interior Upgrade, and the optional Wheels and Tires. The HPP T/A #002 will be white with the blue stripes as pictured. #002 is being built off of a brand new 2011 Camaro 1SS base price of $31810 + the optional Hurst Short Throw Shifter $380 + Boston Acoustics 9 Speaker Audio System $495 = MSRP $32685 plus the HPP T/A up fit of $27700 = Sale Price of $60385 minus any applicable rebates GM is offering at the time of delivery. Additional personalization options for this HPP T/A are listed below.
The HPP T/A will only be built by HPP. The hardware to build these special cars will NOT be sold seperately. If you would like to have your Camaro customized by HPP into a T/A please contact them. Any customization upgrades you would like can be handled in house. Colors, interiors, performance upgrades, HPP can handle it all.

I am Tim Walters the owner/operator of the dealership and I started my relationship with HPP and Gordon Heidacker almost a year ago when I had approached them about building a custom Camaro to be marketed through my dealership. Gordon had showed me his plans for this HPP T/A and I was blown away by the detail and quality of this up fit, as well as the visual truthfulness to the 69 Pontiac Trans Am that inspired this cars creation. I grew up around a Chevrolet dealership, that my Grandfather had started in 1945, and started selling Chevrolet's in 1987 at that dealership. In 2004 I was able to purchase this Chevrolet dealership located in Elkland PA. In my time selling Chevrolet's I had never experiencedthe enthusiasm that I have surrounding this new Chevrolet Camaro. Pontiac Engineer's Son Keeps the Trans Am's DNA Alive

Heide Performance Products joins the post-Pontiac Trans Am-conversion arena with its interpretation of the Fifth Gen/First Gen Trans Am, which it calls the HPP Concept TA. (No relation to High Performance Pontiac, which also uses the acronym HPP.)
The company was founded by Gordon Heidacker, son of Pontiac engineer Walter Heidacker, who worked directly for Pontiac's assistant engineer (later chief engineer) John Z. DeLorean from 1958-1962, was Pontiac's engine development engineer for valvetrain and power generation in the late '60s, and was instrumental in the design and development of the OHC-6 engine.
"When I was growing up, my dad brought home many Pontiac development test vehicles," Gordon tells HPP. "They made a huge impression on me. Though my company launched and became recognized for building retro-inspired Superbird and Daytonas on current-production Challengers, I felt compelled to continue the Trans Am/Firebird lineage and keep Pontiac alive in its spirit of the '60s-the rebel division of General Motors."
"We changed over 58 components from the Camaro to make it a Trans Am, including every body panel on the car (except the roof) and the glass," Gordon continues. "We created all the panels off of math data, as any OEM would, and all parts are hard-tooled for conversions. Also of note, the front and rear chrome bumpers are stamped-steel and triple-chrome-plated."
Heide Performance Products estimates the full package of interior and exterior upgrades at approximately $30,000 on top of the Camaro's cost, though pricing wasn't finalized as of this writing. Performance options will also be available at additional cost, including supercharging, suspension lowering kits, and exhaust tuning.

Interior Upgrade
The HPP T/A interior can be optioned with actual Madrid vinyl and comfort-weave seat upholstery in a custom pattern reminiscent of actual production vehicles from the late 60’s. A custom wrapped leather steering wheel (also available separately) is included and is available with select color matched interior trim pieces. The engraved, turned dash and trim house the T/A logos and sequential serial number. Other interior options are available for an additional charge.

Magnuson Supercharger, model 01-23-60-171-BL, Produces a real-world 492 RWHP & 455 ft. lbs. torque provides a significant increase in engine horsepower to really get this beauty off the line.

Suspension Upgrade
For greatly improved handling, KW Adjustable Coil-over Shocks are available. This system is intended for the experienced driver who does not only wish to determine the individual lowering of his vehicle, but also wishes to carry out his own setup adjustments. The adjustable rebound damper allows adjusting the pitch and roll behavior of the vehicle and therefore the driving pleasure can be adapted to the owner’s requirements.
